REJOICE & REPURPOSE
DONATE WITH PURPOSE
DONATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Effective September 3, 2026
INTRODUCTION
These Donation Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form an agreement between Rejoice & Repurpose (“R&R,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the individual donating clothing, accessories, footwear, handbags, or other property (“Donor,” “you,” or “your”).
By signing, submitting the online donation form, selecting the agreement checkbox, or delivering items after receiving these Terms, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted them.
These Terms apply only to items submitted through Donate With Purpose. Consigned items are governed by a separate consignment agreement.
VOLUNTARY DONATION AND TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP
You voluntarily give the submitted items to R&R without expectation of payment, sale proceeds, store credit, services, or other compensation.
Once R&R accepts and takes possession of an item, ownership permanently transfers to R&R.
Submission of a form or photographs alone does not transfer ownership. Ownership transfers only after R&R accepts and receives the item.
NO CONSIGNMENT PAYMENT
Donated items are not consignment items.
You will not receive any portion of the selling price or other financial benefit if an accepted donated item is sold.
RIGHT TO ACCEPT OR DECLINE
Submitting a donation form does not guarantee acceptance.
R&R may accept or decline an item based on condition, cleanliness, authenticity, demand, safety, storage limitations, expected resale value, available capacity, or suitability for the business and its mission.
R&R may decline an item before or after physical inspection if an undisclosed defect, authenticity concern, safety issue, odor, or other material problem is discovered.
USE AND DISPOSITION OF DONATED ITEMS
R&R has sole discretion to photograph, clean, repair, prepare, list, price, discount, bundle, sell, donate, recycle, repurpose, or otherwise lawfully dispose of accepted donated items.
R&R may sell accepted items through Poshmark, Depop, Mercari, social media, local sales, its website, or other marketplaces selected by R&R.
R&R does not guarantee that every donated item will be listed or sold. An item may be donated directly to another organization, recycled, repurposed, bundled, or otherwise disposed of when R&R determines that doing so is appropriate.
NO RETURN OF ACCEPTED DONATIONS
All accepted donations are final and nonreturnable.
After ownership transfers to R&R, you cannot reclaim the item or direct how, where, when, or for what price it is sold, donated, recycled, repurposed, or otherwise used.
DONOR REPRESENTATIONS
You confirm that:
• You lawfully own every submitted item;
• You have the unrestricted authority to donate it;
• No item is stolen, counterfeit, subject to a lien, or owned by another person;
• All known stains, damage, odors, repairs, alterations, missing pieces, and other flaws have been disclosed; and
• Any designer, luxury, or branded item is believed to be authentic.
R&R may refuse, remove, return before acceptance, surrender when legally required, or dispose of any item suspected to be counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, unlawful, or materially misrepresented.
You are responsible for reasonable costs, penalties, losses, or third-party claims caused by a breach of these representations.
COMPLETED DONATED-ITEM SALES
A donated-item transaction is complete only after payment clears and the marketplace’s buyer-acceptance, return, cancellation, and dispute period has ended.
Cancelled, returned, refunded, disputed, fraudulent, or charged-back transactions are not completed sales.
A returned donated item may be relisted if it remains saleable.
NET PROCEEDS
“Net Proceeds” means the amount R&R actually receives from a completed donated-item sale after applicable:
• Marketplace and payment-processing fees;
• Seller-funded shipping discounts or shipping adjustments;
• Item-specific promotional or advertising charges;
• Buyer credits or transaction adjustments;
• Returns, refunds, disputes, or chargebacks;
• Authentication charges;
• Taxes or transaction expenses charged to R&R; and
• Other item-specific expenses documented by R&R.
Buyer sales tax collected and remitted by a marketplace is not part of Net Proceeds.
R&R’s general overhead and ordinary labor will not be deducted when calculating the stated charitable allocation.
CHARITABLE-MISSION ALLOCATION
R&R is a faith-led resale business—not a charitable organization.
Fifty percent (50%) of Net Proceeds from each completed Donate With Purpose sale will be allocated to R&R’s charitable-giving mission supporting vetted organizations serving women affected by trafficking and exploitation.
The remaining 50% of Net Proceeds will be retained by R&R and may be used for labor, photography, listing, storage, packing, shipping supplies, software, marketplace operations, business expenses, growth, and other lawful business purposes.
R&R will maintain reasonable internal records of completed donated-item sales and the corresponding charitable allocations.
If an accepted donated item is not sold, produces no Net Proceeds, is returned or refunded, is donated directly to another organization, or is recycled or otherwise disposed of, no monetary allocation is created from that item.
No Donor may choose or direct the recipient of proceeds from a particular item unless R&R expressly agrees in writing.
CHARITABLE-MISSION DISCLOSURES
R&R may identify the organizations receiving mission funds on its website, social media, reports, or other public communications.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, an organization’s receipt of funds does not mean that the organization sponsors, endorses, operates, or controls R&R.
R&R may change the vetted recipient organization when reasonably necessary, provided that the allocated funds continue to support organizations serving women affected by trafficking and exploitation.
CONDITION, STORAGE, AND RISK
R&R will exercise reasonable care when handling accepted donated items.
After ownership transfers, R&R bears the ordinary risks associated with storing, photographing, listing, packing, shipping, donating, recycling, or otherwise handling its property.
R&R is not responsible to the former Donor for ordinary wear, deterioration, accidental damage, theft, fire, water damage, carrier loss, marketplace removal, buyer misconduct, fraud, or another loss occurring after the donation is accepted, except where liability cannot legally be waived.
NO GUARANTEE OF SALE OR CHARITABLE VALUE
R&R does not guarantee that an item will be accepted, listed, sold, sold within a certain time, or sold for a particular amount.
R&R also does not guarantee that an accepted item will generate a particular amount of Net Proceeds or charitable funding.
Resale value may vary based on condition, demand, brand, season, trends, marketplace activity, and comparable sales.
TAX-DEDUCTIBILITY
R&R does not currently represent itself as an organization qualified to receive tax-deductible charitable contributions.
Items donated directly to R&R under this agreement should not be claimed as tax-deductible charitable contributions unless you receive separate written confirmation that the donation qualifies under applicable law.
R&R does not provide tax, legal, accounting, or valuation advice and does not determine the fair-market value of donated property.
You should consult a qualified professional concerning your individual circumstances.
PHOTOGRAPHS AND INFORMATION
You authorize R&R to use submitted photographs and item information for evaluation, recordkeeping, marketing, and resale purposes.
R&R may create and own its own photographs, descriptions, measurements, graphics, and promotional content for accepted items.
COMMUNICATIONS
You agree that R&R may communicate using the email address, telephone number, text-message number, website notification method, or other contact information you provide.
You are responsible for keeping your information current.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent Pennsylvania law permits, R&R is not liable to the Donor for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages related to an accepted donation.
Nothing in these Terms limits responsibility for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or liability that cannot legally be waived.
INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold R&R harmless from third-party claims, losses, penalties, refunds, costs, and reasonable legal expenses resulting from:
• Lack of ownership or authority;
• A counterfeit, stolen, prohibited, or unlawful item;
• An undisclosed defect or material misrepresentation;
• Your violation of these Terms; or
• Your violation of applicable law or another person’s rights.
This provision does not require indemnification for R&R’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.
ELECTRONIC AGREEMENT
Selecting the agreement checkbox, typing your full legal name, providing an electronic signature, or submitting the donation form constitutes your electronic acceptance of these Terms.
By accepting, you confirm that you:
• Are at least 18 years old;
• Have read and understood these Terms;
• Had an opportunity to ask questions;
• Understand that accepted items permanently become R&R’s property;
• Understand that accepted items will not be returned;
• Understand that you will not receive payment; and
• Understand how Net Proceeds and the 50% charitable allocation are calculated.
PENNSYLVANIA LAW AND SEVERABILITY
These Terms are governed by Pennsylvania law.
Any legal action will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in the Pennsylvania county where R&R maintains its principal place of business, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, the applicable donation intake record, and any written item-specific terms constitute the entire agreement concerning donated items.
Changes must be written and agreed to by R&R.
